Lewis Hamilton Flexes $300,000 Patek Philippe While Sitting Courtside With Leonardo DiCaprio

Lewis Hamilton pulls off one of the biggest flexes of all time after sitting courtside at an NBA game with one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and while wearing one of the most coveted luxury watches on the planet.

Sir Lewis Hamilton is no stranger to bold moves. Indeed, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion has made a career out of it: double overtakes down the inside, late braking, aggressive maneuvering... The immensely talented driver, arguably the best driver of all time, knows how to make a statement, both on and off the track.

Case in point: the 38-year-old Brit was recently spotted chilling courtside at a recent NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, rocking an eye-catching, double-green-denim outfit. He was pretty hard to miss.

On top of that, he was sitting next to Leonardo DiCaprio – probably the most famous actor on the planet – as well as Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of DreamWorks Animation and one of the most powerful men in Hollywood. Considering Lewis' aspirations to get into the movie industry, it's interesting he's hanging with them...

But we reckon the biggest flex of them all; the cherry on top of all this flexing, if you prefer, was the Patek Philippe Nautilus Flyback Chronograph Date (ref. 5980/1R-001) worth in excess of AU$300,000 he chose to wear for the occasion.

A luxurious take on the already pretty exxy integrated bracelet luxury sports watch, the ref. 5980/1R-001 is crafted from 18ct rose gold and features a black gradient dial with a unique concentric chronograph subdial at 6 o'clock.

Lewis isn't the only F1 driver who owns this watch, by the way: Daniel Ricciardo, a noted Patek lover, also owns a ref. 5980/1R-001 – notably wearing his during an interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show back in 2020.

Anyway, it's an interesting departure from wrist candy form for Hamilton, who's normally spotted wearing one of a few different high-end IWC Schaffhausen watches (thanks to his endorsement deal with the luxury watchmaker).

Lewis is taking some much-needed downtime ahead of what is likely to be the most brutal part of the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship: the triple header.

Starting this weekend, there are going to be three F1 Grands Prix back-to-back for the next three weeks: the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, the Monaco Grand Prix and the Spanish Grand Prix. It doesn't help that Imola and Monaco rank as two of the most difficult and high-profile races on the calendar.
