Australia’s prime minister Anthony Albanese has been snapped eating an almond magnum just before the start of the men’s singles final at the Australian Open.
While Novak and Stefanos were preparing to sweat it out on the tennis court, Australia’s prime minister was enjoying a magnum. It appears the icecream is of the almond variety. The image sparked highly important questions from the media, with one tabloid asking why he didn’t get one for his partner, Jodi Haydon.
In other parts of the Internet, Albanese has come under fire from critics for attending this tennis after his Alice Springs visit, rather than dedicating more time to the Outback town, where the ABC reports there is currently a youth crime crisis.
I don’t care if @AlboMP goes to the tennis and has a beer. I think the PM should be there. It’s entirely possible to do this *and* other duties.

Instead of twisting off because the PM attended a sporting event… How about excoriating him because of a lack of action.
Some people came to his defence though, saying it is possible to do both your duty as a PM and to attend sporting events. In other Australian Open news, Djokovic went full Federer upon winning the final, and Stefanos made a huge GOAT claim in his speech at the end of the match.
